2011 GT3RS pricing
Hello everyone,
I am new on this forum. Planning to order a new 997.2 GT3RS. Everything is finalized and the price 3% off MSRP. I am just wondering if this is a good / reasonable price now.
Thanks for your input!

Unless you gotta buy new, why buy new?
There are quite a few very low miles 2010-11 RS's out there going for 1000's below MSRP. Example, seen a 2010 with 3000 miles for $27K below MSRP. Do a search.
Regardless, congrats and best of luck.

Very true, there are several lightly used cars out there, but most of them optioned to the sky.
The only options I need are PCCB, lightweight battery, radio delete, lightweight headlights. This will be a track car more or less.
Thanks

If you guys know any GT3RS for sale which does not have all the weighty and expensive options I am more than happy to hear about. I am / was planning to give my deposite to the dealer tomorrow.

There are a lot of new or lightly used 997.2 RS's out there that are able to be had WAY below your 3% discount. If you want to customize/personalize your car, then go new...nothing wrong with that, but do expect to pay a little more. Ask Mitch if he can do better than that - he's pretty firm on his discounts though. Other dealers will do better though, but if you want to order locally, you're going to pay a little more. Good luck - great car.

Still, if you want one "Just so" you get only what you really want and nothing you don't. 3% might still be better for the right car then 27K off the wrong car.
Just look around carefully to make sure the right car is not for sale..

If you order a bare bones car with 3% off you might still be ahead of a used $165k msrp car thats 20k off.
Mooty's car would be perfect fpr you, but I was hoping he'd hold it for another year so i could get it :P

I dont know... Those cars with 2-4K miles sells for $130-135K my new would be 140K with PCCB as the only option other than the free, light headlights and stereo delete option. Most of the cars have just too many option. Others without option do not have PCCB and still trying to sell for 130K or so. The car without any option would be about 130K as new with 3% off.

I agree with you. Take the 3% off, realize it's average, and get the car you want. In the long term, you won't care or affect your finances (if you're already in the market for these cars). You could also check on truecar.com to see what the average selling price for that car is in your area and nationally.
