Pre-Owned 2010 GT3
Couple of questions...
What do I need to know when buying a used GT3? .. i.e. What should I look for when inspecting the vehicle? What options are a must? (Adaptive Sport seats?) Are all GT3's equipped with Adaptive Sport seats.., i noticed someone mentioned Porsche equipping GT3's even them though they weren't optioned?
Also based on people's opinions here i've been looking specifically for a GT3 with the Dynamic Engine Mounts Option.
Of course as luck would have it I've found one in my preferred color with DEM, but without PCM 3.0 and Navi, and then another one without DEM but with the Navi.
I think i can skip the Navi but with this being my first Porsche i just want to confirm with current owners. The car i found with DEM is Guards Red with 5K miles, priced at 115,950. Any idea if the dealer will budge on the price? Fair price you think?
Also currently i was working to buy the car through my local dealer, given the cars are fairly rare and most likely across the country i thought this would be easier on me. But not sure how it would effect negotiation.
Thanks for any input guys...

The first thing you need is a PPI by a dealer other than the one selling it.
The price is ok, about what similar ones on eBay are advertised for. That means there's some room to negotiate.

Adaptive sports seats are not necessary, they just add weight
Look for a car with sport seats or better yet gt2 type seats
If I was to buy one the only options I would be picky on are dynamic engine mounts and seats
Everything else is added weight and maintenance

Although Porsche gave some free Adaptive Sports Seats, they are not desirable to most gt3 owners as they add considerable weight over the standard Sports Seats, more-so over the Sport Buckets. Porsche gave the A.S.S. free because they ran out of the Standard Sport Seat. Visually the Sport and the Adaptive are the same except for the power buttons on the A.S.S.
As for DEM, I'd skip a car without the option.

I appreciate the information on your car. I'll keep it in mind, right now I'm looking for a Guards Red, but they are rare, and your Gray GT3 looks very nice. What's the difference in sound on your center muffler delete?

This is a must, everyone will agree.
it makes the car sound as it should and save around 16lbs off the rear, I have the tips too which are larger more aggressive. They are big sponsors on this site, and dan and alex are really nice, helpful and informative guys

For me specifically if I was looking....For a GT3 or a RS 10 or 11, I would have to have the DME, Lift system and Ceramic Brakes as well as Adaptive Seats and Nav. I could live w/o the Wart on the center dash but not a huge issue. And I must have a CPO and no more than 5/7k miles or less.....I would not be tracking this car much if at all, so weight is not a huge concern. I must have or will add the Sharkwerks bypass and larger tips, as well as the SSK porsche option,(on my current 08) I would also have to have one of the cool blue color cars like Riv, Mex or similar blue colors.
Friggin unreal that 10s are selling for almost what I paid for my 08 1 yr ago.....scary depreciation.

Beautiful car...we would be talking if I was ready for sure...GLWS - to the OP GLWP!!
its pretty much a must have. I think 90 percent of the gt3 owners on this site have a center muffler delete, either sharkwerks, gmg, or rss.

If your referring to the VIN # it won't contain that information. If your inquiring about a specific car you can contact an authorized dealer with the VIN and they can obtain that info. for you.
