Should have done this

Trailers are a necessary evil

if you are serious about driving on the track, you need a trailer for:
2nd set of wheels
jack and tools
spares
cooler full of red bull and beer
plus god forbid the car breaks down, it will save you $1k or more in towing costs to get the car home.
Also its spares you from driving to the track and getting a flat on the way, and there goes your whole weekend and $$

1k for towing?!?!?! Who is towing cars in CA? I have 200 free miles with AAA, but I do agree with the rest of your statements, especially the refreshments

This is very true, except in Texas we have events we attend that might be 12-15 hours drive away. Not practical to put those kinds of miles on the car. Not to mention spare tires, etc that are needed as well. I would prefer to drive it to the track, except Johnny Law might have a comment about my R6's on the street.

Yes, USA is car country  Half of the price too.
My brother had a Dodge Ram in 1995 in Holland (Every 3K miles now rotors and pads, he could not make every other red light the first few days he had the truck.) and I just took my dad for a test drive in a '10 with Dodge Ram the shotest bed, 4 door. Freakin' impossible to drive, just too wide and turning radius is too large.
Then again an MB S class Long is pretty much impossible to drive and park as well + anything nice gets keyed...

Man! That is one serious set up. I can't use something like that since it won't fit in my garage

Now I totally see the need for a trailer as stated by mpbonic. Things can go bad fast on the track and you better prepare to tow your car home be it 30 minutes or 10 hours drive. Just take a look at my "oh ****" moment at Laguna Seca on new year eve.
Not the best view to look at coming out of T11

I got more thumbs up towing my RS with Tundra then driving my RS on the street
Yes, I been to Italy and it will be hard to drive my setup there with all the small street ... but BEAUTIFUL country!
