Some may view the wife doesn't like to ride with you part as a benefit!

The fact you have a turbo as I do, gives me the rationale to add one to my stable! As I said in an earlier post that is a great colour combo. Can I ask what options you got? Did they keep the alcantara steering wheel? I have no idea why some dealers optioned them out.

I fell for the car as well, traded the 09 Turbo and have not looked back...the car is much more respsonive, agile and just natural.

I love my GT3 RS. It does get a little loud on the freeway, but that's part of the appeal. Absolute monster in the twisties, reliable, beautiful...I have never second guessed my decision to buy mine. Last weekend on our way to get the wife her Cayenne, she asked me if there was anything I would change about my GT3 RS...I told her I would change absolutely nothing about it! Glad the discussion of changing anything stopped at the Porsche! :-)

Your comments on monster in the twisties (in my case mountain areas), realiable and beautiful are 200% spot on. I get asked by so many if I track the car, which I do not. (I do AutoX) But, I have to say on the mountain drives, the sheer constant change of road elevations, on-off camber, reverse radius.....its like being on a roller coaster ride with the pure ability of the car. (Shocking actually).

I have a 2010 turbo which is amazing and isn't going anywhere, but my 2009 C4S with TechArt Aero kit may have to go. It definitely is easy to get addicted to these cars. The temptation! Anyone here got a 2010 or 2011 GT3RS that can talk me out of getting one!
I need help deciding to get 997 Turbo S or GT3RS, my concern mostly on transmission of Turbo S PDK transmission and hard clutch manual transmission, what is your opinion on that? On the track the manual on GT3RS would be awesome but what about on the street traffic, would it be hard and tiring to ride?

Would your RS be a daily driver? If so, it could get a little old after awhile. If it is a weekend car, then go for the manual tranny.

I love my 2010 Turbo. It has all the stuff that is on the base Turbo S,PTV etc, and is explosive!Even without launch control engaged the turbo is simply astonishing on takeoff. However, when I test drove the GT3RS I was stunned at the whole feel of the car and it made me want one also. I drove it for quite awhile and even though some people say it isn't necessarily a daily driver, I could easily see it as a daily driver. It is just a different type of drive and an amazing one at that. Yes, it isn't the PDK of my turbo and you have to shift but what a feeling it is to change those gears at the high rpms! Driving the turbo you feel you can pretty much do anything and would find it hard to get yourself into trouble in a handling situation. That all wheel drive just gives you confidence and of course you won't miss a gear shift! The turbo/turboS is just incredible. It fires off the line like a missile and handles beautifully. As people say, it's an every day Supercar. I am definitely going to get a GT3RS but I'm not going to get rid of my turbo. I would say the turbo and the GT3RS are both exhilarating to drive. I can see why everyone raves about the GT3RS as I haven't been able to get it out of my mind since test driving it. When you sit in the pit of the GT3RS and see that massive wing out the back window and you hear that roar when you start it up.... You know it's a bit special! I hope you can test drive both a bit more. Either way, you can't go wroing. At the end of the day, Porsche makes incredible cars and the turbo / turbo S and GT3RS are in a league of their own. My C4S will have to go TechArt aero kit and all as my turbo is getting a new sibling called GT3RS...

Not sure why it deleted the area called "pit" where the pilot sits? It's not a bad word!

How does the RS compare to your Turbo. Which drive would you prefer?

Also, any one know how the GT3 RS compares to the regular GT3? Is there that much of a difference?
