Fair Price for a 2011 Used Gt3

I have seen a 2010 GT3, 240 miles , 150k msrp car , sell for 110k .

What's a resonable price for a 1000 mile 2011 134k msrp car? What should I offer?

You know my opinion based on our conversations about my car. As you should know the original MSRP doesn't matter too much with exception to the car bearing the options YOU desire. MSRPs over $130k are rather meaningless as to increased residuals. Porsche even caps lease residuals for this very reason. I will say that the only time more options may have a real meaning is when comparing two cars. Obviously one would choose the better optioned car given the same asking price.

Imo, a 2010 .2 3 is worth $105-$110+K with cast rotors, DEM and a few other options. Strippers are worth a few bucks less, imo. I don't believe a 2011 has really much more value when it comes to GT3s; maybe $2-3k?. I'm sure many will argue that point but the same can be said for 2007 or 2008 .1s; similar relative values. The model year does not seem to affect gt3s as much as other 911 variants.

The car you mention above sold for $112-113K if I recall correctly. What options does the 11 have?

What you are saying makes sense ..thanks that helps.

The Black car sold for 112k with CPO , CPO i figure was 2k. The 2011 car has PCCB, DEM, Bluetooth, USB, sound pkg plus, Sport chrono, Dynamic cornering lights, heated seats. That's all i can think off.

Imo, CPO on a 2010/2011 isn't a necessity as you'll time out before mileage out but to each his own. On a 2007/08 maybe just for the security.

On the car you mention, PCCBs are worth $1.5-2k to some, nothing to others. Sport Chrono is only an ugly wart which detracts from the car's clean interior and is basically useless. Most knowledgeable gt3 buyers don't want it and won't buy gt3s with it. Full leather is an absolute must in a $110k+ sports car, imo; especially with all the added Alcantara. Hopefully this car has it. Dynamic lights are one of those if this one has it and another similar priced one doesn't yeah I'll take it for free. Otherwise they just add more weight to a car designed to be lighter.

$110 max IMHO
with .2 RS prices in the crapper - it is pushing base gt3 prices down

there are dealers offering $10k plus off msrp for RS cars... this closes the gap between RS and gt3 which in turn, IMHO, devalues gt3

Pretty close to what i thought it would sell for...Its scary looking at the dep on these cars. If this trend continues we may see 90k cars next year.

2010 seems to be depreciating faster than MK1 did. Surprising with the low prod #'s , maybe its the crappy economy

^^ Compared to recent historical standards.

Like any other car the depreciation will slow as the years build. The 991s will likely have a decent price jump if what I've read is true, This will help support the lower levels.

Anyway, I think the current prices are good considering that we are in one of the worst economic times ever and prices have fallen roughly 18-20% for the first year. These cars selling $30-40k off sticker were just overly optioned anyway. The economy will improve.

MY2004/2005 996 gt3s: Current $55-$60k, MSRP $107k decently optioned.
MY2007/2008 997.1 gt3: Current $70-$75k, MSRP $115k decently optioned.
MY2010/2011 .2 gt3s Current $105-$110k, MSRP $125-128k decently optioned.

Not bad imo.

A 2 1/2 year gt3 drought (before the 991), improving economy, spring and current supply reduced will help solidify the prices.

The dealer(s) selling the over priced $150k+ RSs for $10k off does nothing for the properly optioned gt3. Show me a new RS with a sticker less than $140k w/a $10k discount, let alone two of them.

Sure lower used RSs devalue the used gt3s, considering relative MSRP pricing.

I guess I am not a knowledgeable GT3 owner - I have sport chrono. And no full leather on my 110K+ sports/track car either. I should have consulted you before I bought my car because all your posts suggest you are the most knowledgeable GT3 owner.

For some reason the existence of sport chrono doesn't bother me much. Seems like a lot of people here think its ugly, Its not ugly imo.

Also i really don't care that dynamic lights add weight...its negligible. I am sure i can hit the gym a few days and make up for that weight gain

My post came off stronger than intended. I do think the majority of repeat gt3 buyers would elect to waive SC; maybe not, no sweat either way. Obviously nothing wrong with it if one wants it. I don't. The leather comment was based on my opinion, as I posted, but hey if you wanted a consultation you only had to ask.

Point taken on the weight of the dynamic lights. I wouldn't pay for them when ordering new but would certainly take them for free if the first guy did.

I would show you a 150k msrp RS that McKenna had but they sold it at $25k off sticker

I would show you a $163k sticker RS with 167 miles on it but it just sold for $131

mooty's RS with a 13x sticker not selling at 120

there are loads of them if you want to find them...

i dont understand the dep'n comments.
1. GT3/RS are not some limited edition exotic. it's just a car. they will depreciate.
2. 2010 dep'n faster b/c they are new, the depn curve is steeper.
3. i do understand VALUE. if that's a concern 996gt3 is it. they are as fast as any .1GT3/RS for 1/2 the money. there's a reason why i have had 6 or was it 7 997gt3 but only 4 .1GT3/RS. you with over 100k miles on 6 and 80k miles on 7, believe me i know which car does what.
4. if you dont care about dep'n, the .2 cars are MUCH better than anything before it.
5. go drive a few and let your emotion decide. if your purchase decision involves brain work, then you are way better off buying a bmw or a honda for that matter.

options on p car in general doesnt influence pricing much.
full leather is a personal call. i would put full leather on my cheap daily driver but no on my 100k+ sports car.
