I searched all the postings and noted that various people use the Toyo R888's on their 997 GT3's, but the rim width is rarely mentioned. I am considering these tires for my car (80% street/20% track). The OEM rear wheels come with 305/30 19's on 12" width rims. The R888's in this size specify that you can only use up to 11.5" rims. The response from Toyo was definite: do not use on 12" rims (I assume a legal response??). Anyway, have others used this tire size on the Porsche OEM 12" rim? There seem to be no other options with 12" width accomodation.

I plan on doing the same thing with my .2 gt3. buying r888's in 315/30/18 and 255/35/18 (bought new wheels obviously). I think if you check the mpsc's spec they also show a max of 11.5 rims but Porsche puts them on 12 wides.
