Will 996WB Offset Wheels (11" rear) fit a 997.1 GT3

Ok - ordered a set of wheels that will have a fairly aggressive FLUSH offset mount front and rear (8.5f x 11r) on my 996 C4S (which is a widebody 996 like the Turbo's). So the question is, when I move over to a 997.1 GT3 at some point, would the WIDEBODY OFFSET of a 996WB wheel FIT a 997.1 GT3, flush as well (or close enough to it) without the use of spacers? Thanks.

Berk, it all depends on the offset of the wheels. Stock sizes on the GT3's are 12's in the rear so as long as the offset of the Forgestar's make up for the difference between the 11's and the 12's you should be fine without spacers. If you post the offsets, someone with more wheel knowledge than myself should be able to help you further.. I'm not even sure of the stock offsets of the GT3.

Hey Adam,

Thanks again buddy!! Crap, didn't realize they were 12" rears.....I was going to buy those too for the rear on the 4S.....I hope the 1" difference doesn't cause any problems with the LSD, etc.....worst case, those things are so cheap will pick up to 12" rears for cheap. Ha!

I will post the offsets when I get them....

It really depends on offset of the wheels. For 996WB rear aggressive offset for 11" wheels are ET25. That will flush with rear fender. For OEM 997GT3 wheels, they're 19x12 ET68. If you put the 19x11 ET25 wheels on 997GT3, the face EXTEND an extra 30mm over OEM wheels.
