Center of Gravity lock for seatbelt

Have any of you tried the cg-lock? It is designed to tighten the lap portion of a standard three point restraint seatbelt and to prevent movement. Presumably to be used at track events for cars without harness restraints. Any thoughts on this?

they work...certainly better than just the stock seatbelt as far as sliding around...but certainly no substitute for proper roll protection, racing seat, 5-6 point harness and hans device

Thanks for your thoughts, Chuck. Haven't made the leap yet in putting in the roll bars. I'm sure I will down the road. Thought this might be an interesting product prior to rising to the roll bar level of driving.

they will definitely help you to not slide around so much but you are soon going to want a better seat and the slippery slope begins right there...you don't want to put in racing seats and a harness without roll protection...the stock seats and belts are safer in a roll over if there is no bar..a racing seat and harness will hold you upright in a roll over and the top will collapse on your noggin...not a good thing...the stock seat and belt will allow you to move....have fun and be safe

I've been using the CGLock for a couple of years now. Definitely a huge improvement over the stock belts.

I have one of these I use for autocross. Works as advertised. Not a perfect substitute for actual harnesses, but does help.

They are the best thing you can do with a stock seatbelt, bottom line. Money well spent.
