I was at a Cayman Register Tech Day event today. Amazing turn out although we had thunderstorms and heavy rain, there were over 80 people. Event was at Tyson's Porsche in McLean VA, great facilities.

They had 3 Cayman Rs, one had delivered to customer 2 days prior, a blue on, a black on weight scales sold today (!), and a white on the show room.

Anyways, the one on the scales was at 3027 lbs with full tank of gas, which is about 250 lbs lighter my GT3 That is an amazing accomplishment I think. The car looked better in person too.

I test drove the Cayman R on Sunday at a Porsche event and I really liked it. It was well balanced on the autocross course and I am very intrigued by this platform. I would like to open it up in a track setting to see what it can do.

 

I saw the black and white one for sale at HBL also. Awesome looking car, but I think I like the Boxster Spyder better. Would love to drive either of them though!
