It just depends if you want a car that has to be revved in the higher rpm's to get up and go. Some people have been dissapointed with the lack of torque compared to a tt. I have not driven one but could not give up my modified turbo with nearly 700 ft lb's of torque for a GT3 with only 285.

Just my opinion of course.

Buddy you cant compare a modified turbo with anything --apples and oranges Ones a baseball bat the other a sabre--
Plus with all that stereo equip you need the extra HP for all that added wieght!!

those with 700 lbs of it :-)

truth is the way the GT3s are made to be driven and the way their owners drive them, that 700 lbs of torque machine buddy has would be smoking even worse than it is now (not to mention the tires and brakes that heavy pig would consume at the track - relative to the GT3). there's no way it would take the sustained pounding a GT3 will. heck, even drag racing it has caused it to start smoking. as well, buddy's car has spent eons in the shop while the GT3s guys have been out driving theirs.

To much torque on a track gets you in trouble to easily. High revving, high HP is where it's at

yes, look at the CGT torque relative to it's HP as well as Enzo. like the GT3, they're in the 70 to 75% of hp range.

Let's be nice to Bud....The red beast will be in action soon. Hey Bud, torque is fun, but you owe it to yourself to try a different flavor of Porsche. 8200 rpm's is intoxicating and when I punch the gas leaving my driveway, my head still snaps to my head rest... In the perfect world, you have two Porsche's: One Turbo one NA of the CGT/GT3variety.

I can feel your pain, however, when I look at my garage in comparison, I'm the one feeling some pain...

No, but when it comes to 450 large at this point in my life I am.
Hopefully Porsche will still be offering something of the CGT calibre in say 10 years. ..

Paul S is infamous around these parts
My GT3/TT pair at Lucent...
I just bought a 3 after owning a beautiful, nicely modded TT for 2 years. They are both unbelievably great cars. The GT3 is a true sports car, the TT is a luxury car in comparison.

Believe me if I had Ben's money I would own a GT3 and my turbo!

I am definately not bashing the GT3, I know it is an awesome car and I would love to drive one. So Ben send your private jet over to pick me up so I can test one out!

It would be fun to put the RED BEAST up against a GT3, who is game?
