2011 Radar Laser suggestions?

Not to hijack the thread, but are y'all buying your V1s straight from V1? Typically ebay is a better deal, but the cheapest one on ebay is $450 vs $400 from V1. Planning on picking up 2 and want to make sure I'm getting the best deal and the latest model.

I'm not that hard-pressed to save a few buying a second-hand though if you knew it was the latest version I'd say go for it. Besides, I typically buy the hard-wiring kit and it's just as easy get everything from V1.

I contacted Valentine before purchasing my V1 a few months back to inquire about updates. The salesperson I spoke with indicated that the internals have been redesigned and updated numerous times since it was introducced. He couldn't say but he intimated that the internals were re-freshed within the last 2 years. Who know. Might be salesman BS. Anyway, like I said previously, the V1 has been great so far. I will not go built-in again.

Valentine One Upgrades
I have had the V1 for years and have had it pay off what it originally cost time and time again. It is far superior to anything else out there. Period!
It is, like stated, like "chicken little" because they do not want the unit to dumb itself down like other units, they want you to get to know the sounds and mute it manually, or change the settings yourself.
I have had laser "bounce" through the car in front of me and give warning, but like said also, if you are hit and you are over the limit, you are either getting a ticket or it is just your lucky day.
I don't care what those that are saying about the arrows and how they are "silly". When you know that the signals are coming from behind and NOT from in front or towards you,, merely guessing,, it gives comfort in knowing that you can mindfully watch your six, adjust your speed and potentially see what it was that may have, but did not bust you.
I cannot say enough for the Valentine One, mounted on my bike or in my cars!!!

Buy direct from Valentine. They are usually the same price or cheaper than second party retailers. Unless you're going to so some type of tricked out hide mounting, you can usually get away with just one unit. Get an extra visor mount or use on provided windshield mount for one car and the visor mount for the other. With the parts in the box I was able to complete mounting in two cars and all I bought was some phone cord, an add-a-fuse kit, some foam black rubber to level out the sunvisor. You should put a level on it or the sensor will be pointing at the center of you hood. Total cost $10.00. All you can see is the tiny phone wire coming from the roof center console. I'll post some pics.
