Laguna_Dude at Fontana
I wanted to share some in-car video of me wheeling my 2010 Cup around Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. It shows my Time Trial laps during the POC's Tribute to LeMans weekend. This was my 1st time at Fontana and 4th weekend total in the car (ever in a race car for that matter). Both hot laps are 1:42's. Still have a lot to learn and improve on... but I am stoked nonetheless. Enjoy!

Thanks guys!
L8Apex, no that wasn't me. I am still working on my racing licensing...next racer's clinic is in Dec. So in the meantime, I only run TT w/POC. But fear not, next year, I will be racing. But there were some great battles during tribute... especially in the BSR class.

awesome!!
that video is F***ing awesome, the crisp downshifts are a TRUE testament to why some of us still prefer manual transmissions...
I can't wait for my next DE event, great start to the season at VIR, nothing exciting till next month.

Here is last year's results:
http://www.porscheclub.com/events/Ev...r/SE120-2.html
This year, the leader was in an RSR (my bro-in-law, aka Killer Whale) and he did a 1:39 in qualifying and did 1:41-1:42's during the race. Other 997 Cups were in the 1:42-1:44 range with 996 Cups in the 1:43-1:46 range... these are seasoned guys... so my 1:42's are pretty legit for 1st time at Fontana. I am stoked! But turning a hot lap is different from racing.... and the POC has some hard core dudes... so I have no expectations once I start racing with these guys.

Thank you! The sounds in the ****pit of a cup are exhilarating. Nothing beats the row-n-toe! Manual for life... no auto-blipper here!
