Just set this one as my new desktop backround, thanks! Awesome pix! I have a couple of friends that left today to go up and watch the rally over the weekend. I told them to take pix of Jeff Zwart's car, so hopefully they'll come back with some awesome pix

Looks like there's gonna be a ton of video angles for this one. If you look closely, you can see a bunch of different Contour cameras. Funny that he's sponsored by Contour, but if you look closely, it looks like he's also got one of the 3D GoPro Hero HD's mounted up! I can't wait to see THAT footage!

What's going on? It appears that a Hyundai Genesis is faster thn the GT2 RS. What's in that Genesis?

I also attend the meet with Jeff Zwart.
I think this year it will be a challenge for him with the GT2 RS. He is basically using a street car for the event instead of a racecar. The GT3 Cup car had wider tires, a sequntial gear transmission and the transmission was had smaller gear rations with a top speed of only 125 MPH which was used for the event like the hill climb. The GT2 RS has 18 inch tires that are narrower, is a traditional manual, weights 400 lbs more BUT has more HP and is not affected by the altitude like the GT3 was. According to Jeff and their testing, the GT3 from last year had 450 HP at sea level and at the starting line it had 380 and at the top it had 280!
Jeff told us that Porsche Motorsport took the GT2 RS and gutted it out, added a roll cage, added CF doors and front fenders. It basically is a stock car.
He drove it approx 1100 miles and got 23 MPG on the was from Cali to Colorado!
The car still has the bose radio, AC, GPS, Cruise control, etc....lol.
One of the goals with the GT2 RS is to show how versatile Porsche cars are...that you can litteraly take a street car and run it in such a competion. Many others have highly modified cars.
Hope he wins again!
