Type 1 occurence in DME - what does it mean?

Sorry guys, I forgot what Type 1 DME occurences are. I'm looking at a GT3 with 34 Type 1 and ZERO Type 2-5. As I remember that's pretty good, but I just don't recall exactly what each type is.

TIA - Steve

masmole is infamous around these parts
type 1 is when you bounce off the rev limiter. Normal for a car to have lots of these.

type 2 is when you exceed the rev limit, usually when downshifting at inappropriate speeds for that gear, but not exclusively.

Types 1 and 2 can be from simply banging off the limiter. Typically 3 and above are mechanical type over-revs or money shifts. 1 and 2s are basically okay whereas anything above not so much. Someone here must have the Porsche chart to attach which shows the specific ranges for each type.

With that said there are many GT3s out there which have zero over revs of any kind.

Ad reads never been tracked! Don't let a DME scan be the deciding factor for buying a car unless it looks like my DME scan
