Europipe review?
(I searched but didnt get answers to suffice)
Im looking to hear some reviews on the europipe application, this is for a friend of mine looking to bring his gt3 to life. Being that the europipe is only $600, as apposed to $2k+ of the similar products, how does it stack up? Can the sounds vary That much? Im also a believer in you get what you pay for, but can this be applied to this product? Thanks

Five Stars for quality and sound. Best thing you can get for $600
Let me know if you have any specific question, would be glad to help
My dyno - stock vs europipe race
Fast forward to about halfway, no music there.

Short answer, YES! Way to loud.
I have a SW Track Exhaust on my RS with limited street use and it's a bit much and it has mufflers.

My SW Track exhaust is louder than a Cup Car, so that should tell you something. The EP straight exhaust is 100% track only, and the DB level would be high. I'm sure its a great part just not the set up for ANY street use IMO.

I have the EP track pipe on my 2011 GT3RS. I actually bought DDGT3's from him as he later sold his GT3. Amazing product/bang for the buck IMO and glad I did it. Yes, it's loud but can be mitigated on the street by not getting on it all the time and avoiding hard acceleration situations-especially around the boys in blue. I love it and originally thought it would be too loud and would need to change it out as I did when I tried muffler delete with my GT2 and Turbo. I have not done it yet, and don't think I will until I sell the car. Although I did not bother to do a before and after dyno from stock, I'm inclined to agree with the dyno shown as it definitely feels stronger in the mid from 3400 rpm on. I don't really notice any loss of torque down low as I'm never there for very long. It actually makes me want to drive it more as it makes driving it a thrill-especially when you can find places to open it up! Can't beat the weight savings and no issues since I've kept the stock header and cats. Guess I'm kinda crazy that way. This mod has likely been surpressed due to the low cost-not a big money maker.

Nelson thanks for the review. Been waiting to hear how you like it. Sounds like you love it! Imo one of the best sounding exhausts and cars to hear. It's surprisingly not raspy at all, and produces such an amazing exhaust note. Full throttle is a intoxicating and would make me giggle like a little kid. For 600 its worth it just to try it! Like a ticket to a symphomy

EP track pipe
Sammy,
No problem. I'm honestly impressed with the results and it took me a while to install since I expected much less than what I got. It must be the diameter of the piping that EP uses that allows just the right amount of backpressure to provide the results. I would have thought that a balance pipe would have been good to have to equalize the pulses from the two sides but I can't argue with the results. I even installed it myself in a couple of hours. This is a very underated mod.-for good reason. BTW, I see you now have a C63....you must love great exhaust sound. Does not get much better than that car...
Enjoy it!

And I did discuss with EP that they use stock size piping for the race to maintain back pressure.

EP track pipe
After a lot of research, I've not found a cat back system(much less full exhaust system) that could provide similar results considering weight savings, performance and cost on a .2 GT3/RS. There is certainly lots of opinions out there though and sound is fairly subjective-and I'll admit that it's likely too loud for most.
