Tire Reco for 2010 GT3

Hi all...... Have had my GT3 for about 500 miles .... was worried about it being my daily driver but it has definitely been a good decision.... can't help but enjoy it every time behind the wheel. The original Michelins are more than shot after 5000 and need a reco on a new tire. I seriously think I will not find the time to get to the track more than twice per year so although performance is desired ...probably not as much as other people would like. I would like to get something with a more comfortable ride for around town,.... and hopefully better tread life than the original pilots..... Using the decision guide on Tire Rack with that criteria comes up with a recommendation of BF Goodrich Protenzas..... They are so inexpensive it makes me concerned about quality related to other choices. Have also looked at the Pirelli PZero Corsa system and looks like they get good reviews.... For daily driving as a first priority and good track performance as a distance second...any other considerations I should have...... Thanks for your expertise,....I am still learning (but having fun in the process)

For daily driving, I would look at both Michelin PSS and Bridgeston RE11's. Both will last a lot longer than either MPSC or Corsa Systems.

I have the RE-11's on my street wheels. Very good tires and have heard excellent reports from those who have tracked them. PSS's also seem to be getting good reviews but it may not quite have the grip of the RE-11.

+1.
The PSS is supposed to last a lot longer and comes with a treadwear of 300.
The RE11 have a treadwear of 180 so based on that the PSS is supposed to last a lot longer than the RE11
Michelin will even give you a 15k miles guarantee.
However, if you track the car, the reviews I read preferred the RE11's

I use the Michelin PSS on both the track and street. I can tell you the PSS is an excellent rain tire, if that's a consideration for you, based on my experience on rainy track days. If you are not an advanced driver, you will also give up very little in dry track performance with the PSS compared to more track oriented tires.
