Thanks for the kind words.

I don't think CGTs are that rare in Ohio.

I know of another one less than 1 hour away. There almost certainly have to be others as well.

Cheers,

No problem... also, good choice in the color. I have only seen silver, and although it looks great, it is a tad to common.

True, I am sure there are a few CGTs in Cleveland... I heard that Fred Baker Porsche in Cleveland has sold a few already.

BTW, for anyone who is interested, there is a silver CGT at New Country Porsche of Greenwich that is in dire need of a good home!

Wow....that's yellow!

Your signature says signal yellow. It that something different from fayence yellow? If so, was it a special order color?

TIA.

Kurt,

Fayence is the standard CGT yellow and is a close cousin of Porsche's Speed Yellow -- it is the exact same hue, only without the gray or brown shading found in Speed. Fayence was explained to me to be very similar to Ferrari Fly Yellow, which has historically been one of the most frequently requested yellows in Porsche's paint-to-sample program.

Signal Yellow is old Porsche color #114 from the late '60s and early '70s. It was dealer stock for the 911S in Europe, but special order in the USA at the time. One can see a number of 911RS and a few 911RSR from those days painted in this color.

The CGT is my 5th Porsche in Signal Yellow, the first of which was a Stoddard 911 project car that I bought second hand already painted that way. I ordered a 964 C4, a 993TT, a 996TT and the CGT paint-to-sample. I like the color a lot

Cheers,

I have ~ 2100 mi on the CGT and no underbody damage. I would not raised the car 10 mm, which equal to the width of the average finger. I can't see how that will make a difference re speed bumps, angled driveways etc.

I drive the car with a sence of focus and love it that way.

My 2 cents
