Hi guys I just wanted to see if anyone had experience with carbon fiber.
I ponied up some money and u get what u pay for. Beau is a great person to deal with and unsurpassed quality.

I've seen their "conversions" for sale, but never heard of or seen any of their parts used individually. Curious as to the quality of the weave and finish... In for more pics.

Hey tom, I always enjoy seeing the ads for champoin in excellence mag. I find myself drooling over the parts quite often. I think I will place an order or two after christmas.

You were lied to by a local shop and sold turbos that were not what you ordered FROM THEM, correct? I then turned around and took those turbos back FROM YOU directly and sent you a brand new set of the correct turbos...without asking for a penny. I'm not sure how the situation could have possibly been handled better.

If you feel that there was something else that I could have done better in your situation, I'd welcome a phone call to discuss it. Your real issue should be with the shop that sold you the turbos, not with Champion.

Well that's interesting, considering the only time you and I have ever interacted was when I helped you in the situation with your turbos.

"People in the OC and LA"....well that's very interesting, since I have stellar relationships with quite a few shops and dealers in that area. Once again...if you have an issue...all you gotta do is call and I'm sure we can clear it up.

And this thread does involve me....especially considering the fact that Wicked Motorsport is using photography of Werks1 parts on their website to advertise parts as their own. That makes it involve me.

 

Ah...the turbo inlet pipes. Now the truth comes out. So just to clarify so the whole community understands what's happening....

gt2urbo got screwed by a local shop who bought a standard set of 68mm billet VTG turbos from us, NOT built on GT2 cores. They didn't tell him that, so upon learning they were the wrong cores and contacting us, I took his old turbos back and sent him a brand new set of 68mm billets built on GT2 cores. With the owner of the shop his car was being worked on at, we explained that he'd also need our carbon inlet pipes to maximize gains from the turbos, which gt2urbo then purchased from said shop. Unfortunately the ones he purchased were early designs that had fitment issues on certain cars that we didn't foresee.

Those parts never made it onto his car because he sold them to his friend. His friend then contacted us because he was having issues with the pipes, so we offered to 100% replace them with our new revised design once it was available. The revised design has been available for a while now but the "mystery friend" has since disappeared, apparently having no more interest in getting the parts replaced.

Did I miss any details? Once again...I think we handled the situation perfectly, offering to replace the part without question...even for the third owner!

I never said anything bad about BBI. The original shop that sold you the turbos was NOT BBI, it was SPEED GALLERY. We sent EXACTLY the parts that Speed Gallery ordered.

Together with Betim from BBI (whom I have absolutely nothing against), we were trying to help you get your car back together. When I mentioned BBI, I meant that Betim sold you the carbon pipes, based entirely on my recommendation. Apologies to Betim if I made it seem like he had anything to do with the original situation. He was only trying to help in the end.

And as for you....the way you conduct yourself on here says it all. You know damn well that we went WAY OUT OF OUR WAY to resolve your situation because the nice guys at SPEED GALLERY screwed you, not us.

And no, I don't want to fight you...LOL! I'm a lover...not a fighter. In fact...look back, I invited you to call...but instead you decided to rant on here. So...invitation revoked.

We could argue for days, and if BBI and Speed Gallery choose to back your version of the truth, then so be it. Both of them had interesting things to say about you at the time this was all going down.

I won't edit anything because I haven't said anything in this post that isn't true, or that I wouldn't say again. I haven't attacked you once, only gave the REAL story as it happened. You have told me to "pound sand", called me a "f-ing a-hole", and "jerk off" now.....so who's attacking who.

Those who have dealt with Champion and with me personally on here know the real deal. You can try to change that if you want....best of luck.

And as for the situation with Wicked Motorport...the original topic. I DO know a lot about it because I have been speaking to Beau from Wicked for the past several weeks ATTEMPTING to get them to cooperate. I've called in a friendly matter and tried to get them to stop using our copywritten photography to advertise their replica parts. They have not removed any of them from their website, and until they do, I have every right to comment in this thread.

 

We keep our billet turbos on the shelf, so there's no need to wait for a build time. In your case, the billet turbos were sent out before your turbos arrived....because that's what Speed Gallery wanted. They knew EXACTLY what was being sent.

I really don't want to argue with you any more man. But I promise you one thing....in this whole crazy messed up situation, the one person who has been the most truthful to you and who wanted to do the right thing for you would be me. You can believe that or not, it's your choice.
