Some more goodies arrived at over the past couple of days. First we've got custom made FVD headers and 90mm exhaust system. Ranger has a great relationship with FVD and was able to have this system custom made for his car. Can't wait to hear this baby roar!! We're getting really close now....

We also received the custom gear set from Matt at Guard Transmission who was extremely helpful in providing some valuable guidance based on his unmatched experience in building Porsche race transmissions. The new gear set features lightened and hardened gears as well as a 60/40 LSD. See the graph below for the new gearing setup.

Tom,

Just having a close look at the photos of the M&M system, is it a development item? These welds look like they need dressing internally of the header flanges ? See thumb nail

The pictures are a little bit deceiving...it's finished nicely in there. I think the camera just caught the wrong angle which makes them look unfinished.

In any case, I don't know much about the exhaust at all. We normally don't sell FVD/M&M. The exhaust was something that the customer sources on his own.

For the transmission parts, I would contact Matt at Guard Transmission. He's probably the most knowledgeable person out there when it comes to transmissions, LSD's, and gearing.

Each header is 8.5 lbs.

The entire center section is 28lbs.

Thanks for the response Tom, I thought that must be the case! And good to hear its all nicely finished. I didn't thing Juan would let any poor welds/finishes past him lol!

Cheers

The baseline dyno was the car with the just FVD/M&M exhaust, right?

This thing is going to rip...I can't wait to hear what it sounds like. Excellent build thread!

Little update for today....she's up and running!! Here's a quick video we did during engine break-in. A few more miles of break-in, then it's onto the dyno.
