Paul2x is infamous around these parts
Let me ask you guys this, What happens if the CEL lights come on b/c of the NTO1's. Do you loose TC and ABS? any affects on power (limp mode etc?)

Reason I ask is, I run TC off anyway and in other track car's that experienced Ice mode issue , would just remove ABS fuse - so I'm comfortable w/ no ABS as well.

I'd love to run NT01 as DE tire, but am not familiar with the affects of these errors on the 7.1 GT3.

If thoes are the only issues and I can still run the car, I'm sold.

Any input would be great!

Paul,
I use NT01 on my 997.1 (not RS), with ABS fully functional, and with TC on and off. No issues at all for me. The 315 Nitto sets the rear down about 1/2", though.

Thanks for posting John,

It was your previous posts that sparked my interest. It's everyone else's response that concerned me, but on the track I prefer no TC and am completely comfortable with no ABS so I wanted to know the worst case senario outside of these two issue.

I'm in the process of prepping my car for track duty and have being leaning toward 19's strictly due to lack of 18' tire choices. I Provided development feedback for the NT01 when it was first released as Nitto was a sponsor of mine and I'm a big fan of the tire.

Just didn't think I could run it on the 7.1 gt3 from my research.

Do you happen to have a pic of your car w/ the nitto's installed I'm interested to see the car with the smaller profile rear?

Do not pull the ABS fuse unless you want to go for a ride. Twice I have seen people try it and both times it almost cost them a car. ABS works a proportioning device and without it your brake bias is all wrong.
