Specifications and Platform for 2013 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Race Car to Remain the Same; Limited Supply of Rolex24-Winning 2012 Cup Cars Available from PMNA
Santa Ana, Calif. – February 6, 2012 – Fresh from the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup’s GT podium sweep at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, Porsche Motorsport North America, Inc. (PMNA) has announced that the 2013 version of the Cup race car will be virtually unchanged from the current model.
On the week that the new, seventh generation Porsche 911 (type 991) is arriving at Porsche dealerships nationwide, PMNA President Jens Walther has told Porsche racing customers that the 2013 Cup cars will continue virtually unchanged from this year’s model.

Probably because they are designing the 991 Cups. The 991 cup will not come until mid-late 2013 at the earliest, and based on the accolades the 991 street cars are getting, there will be a FLOOD of people rushing to buy them!!
