GT3 as daily driver???

Are there any GT3 owners out there who drive it on a day-to-day basis?

I really want to get a GT3, but the 997 Carrera S seems like it is much better suited for daily driving, and the performance figures aren't too far behind.

The main reason I am turning away from the GT3 is the fact that it has no traction control...

agree with dat.
there is a bit more difference between those cars that traction control.

I dont drive my car daily but do drive it quite a bit. It's not that harsh of a ride. My 01 TT with pss9's and gt3 sways rode rougher than the gt3. The Gt3 alignment is pretty aggresive and turn in quick but the ride it comfortable enough.

Best buy around is a low mileage gt3 with extended 6 year 100k warranty..... IMO.

I ran a Mk1 GT3 as my daily driver for 3 years commuting 100 miles a day with no problems at all.

The only time it let me down was when snow had compacted in front of the radiators and it over heated, but that was my fault for having too much fun!

The ride is fine, even on long journeys, and the added seat time really keys you into what is the best drivers car ever!

Just do it.

P.

Just sold my c4s and picked up a gt3 as a daily driver. I couldnt be happier but the main reason for switching was the trackability of the gt3. If you have no designs on tracking it i'd go with the 997 cS.

the traction control is pretty useless in S CA as it usually dry. i drove one of my gt3's thru the big rain this winter down the nasty mountian in the dark...and the other ones in the rain all winter daily.

the gt3 is a secure and excellent rain car. snow, i leave for mr RS when he's sober.

This is a tough one; but once you mentioned daily driver, 997 hands down. Your not going to want a GT3 for a daily driver but yes, I'm sure you'll like the power as far as I do.
