i have had my .2 gt3 for nearly three years (july 09) and have 23000 miles with the same lip on it. rare scrapes, just learn how to drive a lowered car (mine is down 10mm in front from stock).

as all have said, go for it. NOW.

The cost of the GT3 Porsche part is $220 and the cost of the RS part is approaching $600 (it has an additional small center lip piece that apparently is made of magic black plastic unobtanium). If you have a GT3 be careful, if you have an RS be VERY careful.

If you plan on driving the GT3 on the track that is the car but the Turbo is a more comfortable ride around town.

it's not the scraping, its the manual with heavy clutch in LA traffic that should concern you.

haha I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned sooner!

Ive been driving mine in LA every day for several years. No regrets. If it weren't for my own driveway that is extra steep I'd probably still have the original lip. I went through 3 and then just took it off. I don't really care at this point. Looks fine and still drives like the nuts. Just buy one and drive it....

...or buy the Cup lip from FVD for $196. Small price to pay for killer looks.

It might become tiring, but you're basically driving a racecar. Once again, small price to pay for one of the most rewarding driving experiences around.
