Will the 4.0 RS hold it's value.........

The 991 GT3 will come with a manual box and PDK as an option. God forbid if they ever ditch the manual on their GT cars..

I can't wait to pull up this thread in 5 years. Bet the 4.0RS will be selling for 60-70% of "new" sticker.
Is what it is guys. Guys told me back in 2005 the 1st gen 996GT3 grey market cars would be unobtainable in 10 years and that the mk2 would certainly stay "near" sticker.
Something bigger and badder will be released by Stuttgart, and all bets will be off.

I enjoyed my 4.0L for over 4,000 miles finaly selling it after getting a can't pass up price. It was a great car and RSS did a great job putting it together. I wish the new owner all the best.
IMO the value will stay high till the next RS comes out.

right now if u could pay 40-50g over sticker you could flip and make that much profit based on current market value

The 300k price will be around until nostalgia sets in, much like the 993 as last air cool, blah blah
It may be a few years but reality is that there will be a better 911, you can count on it.

I think the other part of the question is "why do you need to pay $40K over sticker?" That is surprising to me. What happens if you offered msrp and said that you would walk away for more than msrp? Are there really buyers out there who would pay that much more that you compete against?
I always believe that smart business people make money when they are buying not when they are selling. If you get a really good deal when you are buying, you don't have to worry too much about getting a higher price when it is time to sell.
