918 Spyder on Nordschleife and the road!
#16
Official time for the GT2RS was 7:18 but Sportauto got 7:24.
You were really close with the 918. I am actually kind of surprised that it wasn't faster. I know four seconds is a lot of time and I don't really know what time I was expecting it to get but it seems like it's too close to the GT2 RS considering the price, engineering, and power differences between the two cars.
The Viper ACR went around the Nurburgring in 7:12, I was hoping/thinking the 918 would be faster than that.
I wonder how far along in production the 918 that set the lap time was and if the final product will be faster (hopefully it will be).
And don't get me wrong, 7:14 is really fast.

Its just a labaratory and the future!
If Porsche just was up to breake a record then they culd have just maked the same car with more power and less weight!
This car is somthing much more than a race car.

well i don't think that the 7.14 tells the whole story...
We should also consider the additional efficiency of this car, the ability to drive as an EV and the consumption compared to the Vipers of the world...
what's the mpg of this car and what's the mpg of the Viper!
