Mk1 nicely optioned black 997 GT3 gets SharkWerk 'd

This lovely black MK1 997 GT3 came in for the Shark Werks dish of the day: our center exhaust, larger ceramic coated 88mm tips and the EVOMSit software tuning.

In she comes, nicely optioned too:

Firsy things first, let's tackle that exhaust and unleash the proper sound:

Off with the bumper:

And heat shields...

Out comes that stock exhaust (heavier by 18 pounds):

Our ceramic coated larger tips on-board with the bypass:

Meanwhile on the flashing table, the ECU is out and getting tuned for 91-octane and a few more ponies with the EVOMSit software:

Ready for a test-drive:

And for another 5hp!

Cheerio!

Looks like the lip has been kissing the ground pretty hard.

I have to ask, why would anyone tune for 91?

^^^ Because its a CA car and its the highest flavor of octane we can readily pump. It's 91 or 100 which isn't that easy to find. No 93, 95, or 98 to be found out west.

Aye this one was lowered a bit from factory! In terms of the 91 specific tune sadly that's the highest normal pump gas we have here in California.
