Scud vs 2010-11 GT3 RS

What kind of yearly costs am I looking at with these two cars? Local dealer said $20k for pads and rotors alone for Scud - every 5-6 track days.?.? I am looking for a list of expenses I can expect to track a car 5-10 times per year. Thanks.

I can speak from experience on the Scud. $20k is right on to replace rotors and pads. Had to do it after about a dozen hard track days. There are lots of variables involved, obviously and every case is different.

At 5-10 times a year, the RS would cost around 10%-15% of the "Fiat". Probably would cost 10-15% regardless of how often you track all things being equal.

you can still convert the fiat to steel rotors, but if you do a lot of track days, go with the beetle. Fiat will fail and the costs are higher.
Scud is a great car when set up properly and really fast.
My vote goes to the Beetle.

i would not advise either car for track duty if you are concerned about the operating cost. just too much to worry about.
