Cup Car Center Lock wheels
Is anyone running cup car center locks? How about on the street? Are there any problems or disadvantages other than the obvious, like wheel choice? The reason I ask is I may have an opportunity to get my hands on a new set from a friend for an absurdly low price. I would love to hear recommendations from those who know, and have experience.

A customer of ours runs them, but primarily on the track. They are designed to take the abuse of a race, then get checked, re-tightened and straightened if necessary. The street is a much different type of abuse which may result in a higher maintenance wheel. If you are to run them, just make sure you get the wheels checked every so often depending on amount of use.

Thanks, Will. I am debating now whether the limited wheel choices for Cup Car CL's is worth it. Of the limited choices I have looked at so far, like the BBS E88 (great wheel, just not my favorite look) , they are not really doing it for me. OEM CL's and 5-lug have so many great choices.

True. That is the E88 style cup car wheel though.

Yes, And IMHO it's the nicest wheel for that car you can buy. Good Luck, Allan

Any idea what they cost? I am told a good used set is around $6000.

also, the wheel AWE posted is not called E88 center. E88 has more spokes.
