Although the Corvette is impressive, it's still a Corvette. That's just one step up from a Camaro. Are you a Camaro-type guy? If so, go for the Vette. But hands down, IMOP, go for the GT-3. What a car! I love the TT as well, so either pick, you'll be happy. Just don't buy that Vette...

Can't judge a car that's not out yet. Buy the GT3, it's a winner. When the Z06 hits, trade with a buddy for a week. Or even better, hit a DE together and trade off or share a different car each session, then switch so you both get to drive and talk to each other on track to compare notes. You may end up liking the Z06 better, buy one, and have enjoyed the experiences of both. Or, you may decide the Z06 isn't for you, and end up keeping your 3 for longer. Neither one will take a big value dump over the course of a year, so don't worry--buy one now, and experiment when the op arises.

I guess you can say he knows the guy is FOS by your own logic. He hasn't driven the Z06 and maybe not a porsche. So therefor FOS?

"The Porsche's at least in the US depreciate probably faster than any car" - Please show your proof of this.
"the Corvette C06 ... are better performing sport cars than most if not all European sport cars." - the C06 is better than "most if not all"?
"The z06 ring time of 7.43 is about 15=20 sec. faster than the GT3 or TT." - again how are you getting this fact? you are saying the GT3 & TT are over 8min cars on the ring. That again is wrong. Maybe you meant to type in "360" instead, but then you would have said 30 secs.

Regarding depreciation, if you want proof try selling your Porsche and come back here and tell us your happy with what you were offered. The GT2, TT, 996 and now the 997 have been dogs when it comes to resale. The fact is so well accepted I am surprised you even question it.

Hey guys,
I definitely am a European sports car kind of guy versus the domestics, however the new Z06 sounds very promising from a performance perspective.
I have experimented with a couple Z06s in the past including a supercharged (590 rwhp) one, but sold them because of quality issues and numb handling dynamics, but they sure were fast.
I just hoping the new Z06 is a huge advancement in power and feel over the previous Z. I am very curious how it performs when the magazines test it.
With that said, each time I have driven a GT3 it just feels right. That car feels so alive compared to the Vettes. I can only dream what a 360CS or F430 drives like.
I have also driven a friends modified 996 turbo (600hp?) and it is a beast from a roll. For now I am going to wait a month just to see how the Z pans out by the journalists. I don't know what the chances of driving one prior to making a decision would be.
Thanks again guys
George

2) " in its class ... You would need to go to the super cars to beat it." - again, not even close to what you said.
3) again, not what you said ... you said it has the worse out of all cars.
your examples were highly exaggerated if not outright false to prove your point ... if you are going to dis porsche on a porsche board at least have your facts straight

good comeback watt, glad to see hammann rubbed off on ya
I'll take your own quote and throw it back at ya. You haven't driven the new Z06, how can you possibly compare it?
