997.1 GT3 Resuscitation Attempt

Don't think of the car as flooded, think of it as "marinated". I think your approach is both well thought out and realistic. With enough time and TLC this will be an awesome recovery. Best of luck with it.

By chance, do you know of any sources to buy the rear control module harness connectors? Or even the pins/wire in the kit? The tech described the repair process as replacing the pin, with a couple inches of wire presoldered(soldered by Porsche), and then just splice it in. I have the tools to pull pins and repair the harness, but the reason we had the tech coming to do the work for us is because he has access to pins/connectors at work. It's been a couple days and he hasn't come back. We do appreciate, but are becoming impatient.
A source told me the kit of pins is $600...and there's 3 kits...I've come up dry on ebay and google. I'm going to take the connectors down and see if I can find something non-porsche that would work. Otherwise, we'll beg the dealer or try to find a wrecked car.

Jay - I haven't found the pieces we need on ebay for our 'marinated' loom

I can't help with the pin repair, your tech's description of the process is correct but each manufacture has their 'own' bespoke kit(s) but as the car will have a history I would just find a suitable automotive connector with the correct number of pin's either new from a specialist store or go to a breakers. Or you could just take a gamble on one of the kit from Porsche, you have a one in 3 chance and the all up bill for the 3 kits is still less than a new loom plus you could sell the kits after to recoupe monies.
