My new 2007 997.1 GT3 - Dallas, TX
I got a 2007 997.1 GT3 in January and haven't posted any pictures. I just washed the car today and here she is.
I've had M5's, Audi S4's. I tracked my 2007 M5 in 2010 and became addicted. I traded the M5 for a 2007 Carrera S in 2011. I then traded the Carrera S for the GT3 and I think I am done for a while. This car does everything so well and I can't imagine anything I would enjoy more. I plan on keeping this beast forever.
Hare are a few pictures.

I wanted either white or red. Red seems harder to find though.
Good luck!

I have only had the GT3 for about 4 months now so I am still learning the car. The main reason I got the GT3 is because I plan on getting track tires, harnesses, etc. at some point and I didn't want to modify my C2S that much. The power of the GT3 is so much more than the C2S. It feels like there is zero movement in the car through the turns. The clutch pedal and shifting feels a lot stronger. The gearing on the GT3 vs C2S on the track feels different. I am having to shift more and into lower gears than I normally would have.
Do you go to MSR or Eagles Canyon?

Yes I do about 8-10 DE Events per year. Mostly at MSR Cresson. I tracked my 997S for 2 years and very much enjoyed the car. It's amazing how any model of 911 does really well on the track. I still miss my C2S, it was my first ever Porsche. I wish I could of kept it and still got my GT3 but I have not won the lottery yet.

I'm thinking of switching to a GT3 as well, but it would be a 997.1. I'm wondering if the power of my car is much different to justify the switch. My car is so much different than it was in stock form and was thinking a good suspension setup (coilovers, sways, ect) would put it in similar territory, for the simple fact that even the .1 RS cars are similar speed in the straights. I also go the Eagles Cayon and MSR.
