My GT3 allocated build

I know for sure I'm second on the list

some dealers do not yet know.

Is the sport chrono option required for the g-meter and lap timer. I thought it was only a gauge upgrade on the dash yet still accessible through the PCM ?

Good question. The info on the configurator is vague, as usual. It indicates the Sport Chrono Clock includes:
- - Analog stopwatch on the dashboard
- - Digital stopwatch function in the instrument cluster
- - Additional performance display in PCM (only if you get the PCM)
I assumed (maybe incorrectly) that "performance display" referred to the g-meter, etc..

As others have said sport chrono isn't met with universal appeal. I'm skipping it as I don't like the wart (though better in the 991 dash configuration relative to the 991).
I'd skip clear tail lights b/c they look like german rice to my eyes.
I'd likely skip the colored dials as well, but white may look nice. Not a fan of red.
I'm skipping adaptives b/c I will most likely purchase buckets when they become available and retrofit them.
Consider extended leather to finish off the door sills and integrate the full leather option (along dash) with the doors.
Consider red set belts to break up all the sea of black leather and plastic. Makes for a nice contrast IMO, but then again I'm used to my harnesses being blue or red, and I really liked my yellow belts in my 997 GT3

You must have cut and paste down ; o )
Doesn't answer my question regarding chrono.
Not a fan of color gauges and extra leather over and above the base leather.
Revised build excludes the ricer clears.
I emailed my dealer regarding chrono so hope to get an answer.

So from what I heard today, without adding the sport chrono, one does not get the g-meter, or any of the performance tracking data on the PCM. So I added the chrono option back on.
And looks like I'm done with my build

Do the 4-way seats only go back and forth or can they go up and down also?

My final build configuration. Good bye to WHITE! So many Pcars in white. When I got over the idea that it's ok NOT to have a white P Car, the Porsche Gods spoke, and I listened....

The Premier dealers in the U.S. got their preliminary allocations around June 24, 2013. They may get more later, and my dealer deserved more according to the numbers and they were disappointed, but said very likely they will get more allocations later in the year as production schedules and numbers ramp up.
For the moment I am number 4, so I am number two in line since so far they only got 2. There is always hope the 918 guys won't want theirs, and then I am golden.
Never know till it happens, but I don't really want an early production car, nor do I want it before winter in Dec or such, I just want it before the price goes up again.
