Comments on GT2 for sale - Luxury Motors
Anyone care to comment on this GT2 at luxury motors. Does it look like a good deal? Anything one should look out for when buying this car? I've heard mixed opinions about Luxury Motors...I'm not opposed to hearing more if you've got them.

Thanks.

2 things I noticed was- that is the lowest price for a GT2 I have seen and that is close to the most milage i have seen. But 10 K would not bother me much. I had a GT2 offered to me for 135k when I was in the market for my GT3 in march.
since 121 is their asking price seems like you could get it even lower.

if the car is perfect,
it's worth about 110, based on recent sales [josh's car]. i would not buy a hi mile 2 w/o PPI and porasche certification/extended warrantee. those rotors could be blown.
the wheels may be a plus. do not know the dealer

Be very careful when purchasing a car from them--actually, it would behoove you to follow Watt's advice with just about any car you're looking to purchase.
This is the dealer that had an employee flip a GT2 which landed on a fire hydrant while doing a quick errand.
I found the thread(s). Fortunately that car was silver.
Anyone in the States know whose car this is or what happened ?

Edit - This car is at Prestige Porsche....
If you are interested let me know and I will forward you the specific contact and a copy of their email accepting the offer.

Last Friday I negotiated a great deal on an '02 GT2 with 4K miles. Beautiful & silver. It is at a dealer. I got the price to 120K even for a no-excuses (supposedly) car. For another 2K you can get the extended warranty to 100K miles.
I decided to hold off...
Let me know if you want the dealer info...

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM LUXURY MOTORS!
95% OF THEIR CARS HAVE BEEN PAINTED OR HAVE SOME SECOND TIER HISTORY.
THERE WAS A HUGE ARTICLE ON THE OWNER THIS YEAR IN CRAINS CHICAGO BUSINES ABOUT HOW THE OWNER DOES NOT REPORT THEIR VEHICLE SALES ON TIME TO THE GOVERNMENT SO THEY CAN PROLONG THEIR PAYBACK ON THEIR LOANS ON THE CAR THEY HAVE AND SO THEY DONT HAVE TO REPORT THEIR GAINS ON TIME. PEOPLE WHO HAVE BOUGHT THEIR CARS THERE DO NOT GET THEIR TITLES IN A TIMELY FASHION.
A FRIEND OF MINE USED TO WORK THERE (HE QUIT AND OWNS HIS OWN DEALERSHIP NOW) AND HE TOLD ME THEY HAVE MORE COMPLAINTS FILED ON THEM THAN CARS THEY HAVE ACTUALLY SOLD--HE MAY HAVE EXXAGERATED A LITTLE.
IF YOU FEEL YOU ARE GETTING A CLEAN CAR WITH A GREAT HISTORY REPORT THAN DO IT. BUT IF YOU FEEL UNSECURE FOR ANY REASON THAN DONT BUY FROM THEM.

I bought my 02' 996TT from Luxury Motors about 5 months ago, the car has been perfect other than the odd sunroof rattles which I have now fixed myself.
I had a very good buying experience with them...

I spoke to a couple of folks at Luxury Motors. They are most certainly "used car salesmen". They knew next to nothing about pcars and gave me contradictory information about the car of interest. Then they proceeded to solicit over email and phone for two months.
