Hi guys, which is a better material to use on the steering wheel - suede or leather? Suede is standard on the GT3 steering wheel & leather is available as no cost option. I live in a equatorial climate country - hot & humid all year round. Suede is supposed to be more grippy than leather but it does wear out. Which is more practical in terms of durability & ease of cleaning in a hot & humid country? Cheers!

 

I'd go with the suede. I had it on my 997.2 GT3 and really like the feel. No wear issues for me.

With your weather, I would go with leather unless you like driving around with gloves all the time. Suede wears and looks horrible after a few years.
