Trading F430 with GT3

Anybody has traded a Ferrari for the new 991 GT3?
It's been 2 years since I traded my 997.2 C4S and I am looking to get into one again.
Then I wandered to into a GT3 ad and now I have the bug.
But I don't know if I want to trade my F430 with a GT3. I feel a F430 is an upgrade from my C4S,no offense to other purist. But is a GT3 the right direction.
I can get a scuderia but the attention with these car(Ferrari) gets bothers me sometime.
Another dealer called me for another chance to get one by August and I am really thinking about it.

I went 997.2 GT3 --> Scuderia and will be picking up my 991 GT3 next summer.

the Scud is awesome but I honestly miss my GT3.

Love the new GT3 but will wait patiently for a lightly used one.

Been looking at the 430 and Gallardo for possible change of pace. How do you like the 430?

The f430 is always a fun car to drive. The sound is something my previous Porsches lack. Its also much more comfortable than my 997.1 and 997.2. But I want to go back to a Porsche and now the GT3 seems to be my next target. I am not yet sure I want to give away my F430 and I am giving my self sometime as the GT3 will arrive August. I may to trade my m5 but the V10 is an amazing cruiser.

If you are choosing b/w a f430 and a gallardo, read some feedbacks from previous owners here and in ferrarichat, most will tell you to get a f430. But it's what you want. Most of the time, I drive my pathfinder and love it.

Will you keep your SCUD?
You just cannot beat a sound of a Ferrari.

Thats why I traded my 997.2 C4S to my f430.

I went from a 430 to a GT3.2 and was quite happy. I loved tracking the GT3 whereas I wasn't too excited about wadding up my 430. The cost factor was always in the back of my mind, but I felt the GT3 was a great alternative.

If money wasn't a factor, I would have bought a Scud to track.

A GT3 is a steal compared to a SCUD that's why I thought about getting one. But now, I have this crazy idea to keep the F430 and get the GT3. I am not sure it is making sense right now. But I want a GT3 and I can wait till summer to get it. Till then, I need some soul searching what car to give away.

I never regretted giving up my 430 for the GT3 as I like to track a manual car and my 430 was a F1 tranny.

The new GT3 is such an advancement that it will probably dwarf the 430 but if you are talking about the 458 Speciale than that is in a different league.

i am done with manuals. i am so lazy now. i have driven a manual all my life. thats one of the reasons i wanted a GT3.
the 458 speciale is a car that i have not dreamt of buying as i know i cannot afford it.

I know you are not asking me, but I will pipe in. My daily drivers from 2001 until 2008 were an 01 996tt, 03 996tt and an 04 996tt cab. Bullet proof and loved them. Put 70,000 miles on the ttcab.

I had a 355, 360s, and 430s. Love my 430. No regrets, but I also have a daily driver now that better suits my needs as my kids are older and need a bigger back seat. That said, I also have a Challenge for the track.

If I could have only one car for track and street and I wanted to spend decent time on the track, I would take GT3 over 430. If the car is only for street and 1 or 2 DEs a year, the 430 hands down, but I would not beat on it at the track.

Not a huge Gallardo fan, but love the Murci . . .

I had a GT3. Loved the look and sound of the Stradale. Got the Strad. Kept if for a few years and did not feel like I could toss it around as well as the GT3. I happened to be LA where my son lives and he had a GT3. I drove his car when I went to visit. Realized I missed the GT3 so much, got rid of the CS when I got home a bought another GT3.
I suspect the 430 isn't much different (not as raw perhaps) as the CS, but it's not a GT3. Especially the new GT3.
I would go new GT3 all the way and get rid of the 430. Just my .02.

BTW- The new Gallardo is suppose to be a monster. It may bear keeping in mind.

I am leaning on a GT3 for track and if it makes sense, I would try to keep my F430 also. I still want a Ferrari in my stable. I have a daily driver, an M5 E60. But, if I cannot put some time on my F430, I would just sell it.

Thanks for all your input.

If I lived in OC still, I would not sell the Scud. But the roads are brutal here in houston. As well, you really have to drive someplace (75+ miles away) to get to any good (fun) roads to drive. Those two combined make the Scud a loser in houston (this place seriously blows).

With the GT3, I can put miles on it and not worry too much. Plus, I just love Porsche. My dad has had many many ferraris so I've had my exposure.. but growing up there was always a 993 Turbo poster on my wall.... so thats where my heart lies.... but now, its in the form of a Gt3!
