Color of GT3
Since I am hopefully going to get my first GT3 and 3rd Pcar, I noticed that mose GT3s are in white.
Is this a trade mark color for the GT3, something like a RED for a ferrari? Just curious. I have never saw that many videos of white GT3s than any other line of Pcars.

Pretty interesting, in the photos the new GT3 is red, but in the movie is white.

Since the 997 GT3 was released it seems that Carrera White has become the most popular color for the car. When I think of the 996 GT3 I think of Guards Red and Speed Yellow.

My last Pcar was a cream white.I still have not forgotten that car and I wished Ive kept it.
But i am not a fan of the plain white. But also, I am not sure of the other color available so the white one is the safest color to pick.

In my long (2 year) search for a GT3.1 my choices were GT Silver, Carrera White, and Basalt Black Metallic in pretty much that order. I also had a specific list of options that I was looking for. Initially, I thought black would be a bit too much to look after, not only with dirt and dust, but every nick and scratch showing up. However, I have loved this particular car (optioned exactly like I wanted it too) from the first time I laid eyes on it- so any thoughts about the color being a problem disappeared immediately. And even though I'm very careful with it, I've driven it in the rain and mud since day one and just enjoy it for what it is and what it can do. Washing and caring for it is part of the joy of ownership for me.
So, I don't know if I would choose any other color now. Love the metallic flavor and the fact it's not just plain black and not the most common color out there.
That being said, I don't think you can go wrong with any color in a GT3. Once you decide on a few colors and options you like, the next part of the quest is finding one with a great ownership and service record. Then I think the color it is will be just right for you too.
PS> mine's from Texas. Might be one in your backyard!

I would get a GT3 in red. For some reason I think all the porsche cars this current generation look the best in guards red. Maybe because of how they changed all the lines of the cars.

I wanted white. Couldn't find one (rare color for .1rs) and got arctic silver (which was also a rare spec). Orange and green are great, but too showy for me.
My vote is white, but candidly I'll take them in any color but black. I'm especially partial to the PTS porsche blues (mexico, voodoo, etc) My OCD does not let me have black cars. I tried that once.

Regardless, white looks good on the 991 GT3. I like guards red as a first choice on the 991 GT3 myself. GT silver will look good too!

I also thought silver was the predominant racing color for German marques like Mercedes, Porsche, and Audi/Auto Union. Not sure how it became a national racing color. Maybe that's an important consideration to some Porsche buyers today too.

Germany's racing color is white. The only reason silver was used was because either Auto Union or MB showed up to race but their car was overweight by a few grams. Their solution, strip the car of it's white paint and re-weight in it's plain metal body. It passed and hence the use of silver started. Nevertheless, how many Factory Porsche cars have been white? Notice it's always the color they release the Cup cars and RSR's in.
Oh and one more thing it's CARRARA white as in the Italian marble.
