GT3 Race Care Help

I am starting to turn my 2004 GT3 from less of a street car and wanting to move to more of a race car but I don't know where to start. I'm wanting to put in about $10-15k to start with but would like some help from you all on what to do? I have already done KW Coilovers, Carbon Fiber seats, cage, six pt harness. With that being said, where to go next?

Do you want to go racing? Or, just HPDE events?

If you want to go racing, you will be better off selling your car and buying a Cup car, Spec Boxster or Spec Cayman. You will save yourself a lot of time, money and headaches.

Look over on the Rennlist and Renntrack forums as many others have already been down that path many times.

Good luck with your choice.

You have done quite a bit for just HPDE days.

How about brake pads and fluid? What kind of tires are your running?

Maybe, invest in some private coaching which will pay bigger dividends than any additional mods on your car.

you probably want to check into welding the coolant fittings if you haven't already done so. I don't have a 996 3 but I read all the time on the forums that welding those is a must

If you have the normal stuff under control - brakes, tires, belts, seats, etc, you may want to check out my build thread at rennlist: http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...n-der-gt3.html

My application is also a good DE car...

Light weight wheels with sticky tires, LSD rebuild, monoball suspension components, light weight flywheel conversion, exhaust... It's totally up to you
