Btw, I get thumbs up from guys on R1s and Harleys all the time -- they must think my Lotus is a CGT. However, they never ask me what it can do.

I did almost exactly the same thing.
I only keep our 996 TT cab so that my wife and I can share something fun that she'll actually drive. She doesn't even hint at wanting to try her luck in the CGT, ... ever. She says, "It's a race car", meaning she has no interest whatever in driving it.
The TT is absolutely a great car. But after stepping out of the CGT, it seems slow to react, rough-riding, faintly "wallowy" and not as interesting as I thought I remembered it.
