Going rate for a 996 GT3?
Got a line on a 996 GT3 (04-ish, >60,000 miles). Haven't seen it yet, so I don't know what condition it is in. Just wondering what average value for these is.

All over the map! Depends greatly on condition, maintenance records that show proper services done, coolant pipe fix, ... Price can be be low-50s (even high-40s) to high-60s. Most of us value the car more than the market. I'd sell mine for $70K. No one would buy it at such, so, thankfully, stays in my garage.

joe is about right.
i have seen $45000 cars, but i woudn't touch those.
60000 mile is a $50000 mile car if it's 7/10-8/10 condition.
with proper mods and lower mileage price changes drastically.
i bought one for $74,000 andother for $52000. and friend bought one for 48,000

Thanks for the input. I'm hoping to see it soon. I can get it through a wholesaler (i'm an auto broker and 996 Turbo owner) for about $47k. If the 60k service has been done, I hope I can get the report. From what I've heard, it's bone-stock, which is exactly what I want.

FWIW- I just had a 60k mile car inspected on Friday. Needed both rear shocks rebuilt or replaced, needed 60k service, needed tires, brake rotors, pads, missing brake duct, oil filler cap leaking, etc. DME was okay. Minimum 7500-8000 in work needed according to mechanic who performed PPI. I had agreed to $51k OTD with dealer but opted to pass after inspection.
Bottom line... get the car looked at.
