CGT or F40...which would you pick and why ?

The build quality alone should be insentive. But I have several friends who own or have owned F40's. Most would agree if your going to drive it alot as I do mine the F40 is a car that requires more effort. The f40 was the last car Enzo ferrari had involvement in and it is fun but with the CGT being sold out in about 6 month I would rather have the CGT. The market has been hurt by dealers not wanting to floor them so when the only people that own then are private owners that think the car is worth 380-400 I think the market will firm up.For the record I am picking up a second CGT today because I love this car. I think the f40 is not really any better an investment and its not as fun to drive. But 2 totally different animals.

I cant believe no one has brought up maintenance? From what i've read and heard (F40 owner), maintenance is pretty outrageous on the F40. Not sure about the CGT...but at least you get a 4/50K warranty.
There was a 3500 mile F40 on Ebay not too long ago that went through a 51K 15K service job and another 11K for a 30K service interval. Im sure the owner went above and beyond a normal service job, but it's certainly crazy!!!
A friend (england) who has an 91 F40 has already spent over 23K (in maintenance) since taking ownership in January 05. The car is definitely not a garage queen and driven like it should be, but still...that's a bit steep for general maintenance.
One may be able to afford an F40, but maintenance should be a huge consideration when looking at a supercar that is 10+ years old.
RUFMD, if you need more information, etc. let me know and i'll see if I can put you in touch with him directly.
with that said...If maintenance was not an issue...F40 all the Way!!!!
