^what he said...counter steer is one thing, but knowing when to release the counter steer is another completely different thing. Its all about timing of the steering inputs and throttle application and available grip...I think letting off the throttle makes the rear tire grip...and if your countersteer is not released...you will go to the direction your wheel is pointing at.

Quickly lifting the throttle transfers the weight from the rear wheels to the front wheels thus upsetting the car in a turn. Add cold tires and an inexperienced driver and this what happens. What a jackwagon!
