Best camera for track day???
I plan to track my 911 and am wondering if anyone has an opinion on what camera to get. I was thinking of a dash mounted camera and was wondering if they have an attachment to mount on the base of the steering wheel so i can record my mph/revs as well.

MPH yes as it has gps, you can also download track maps on it (or define a start point manually). It gives you the adhesion circle (g meter essentially). But to get other information such as throttle position, revs, brake position, all other parameters that the car has available you need to buy an additional data logger and connect it to the camera.
This is the system that quite a few race teams use. I have the camera and take it from car to car, but the data logger is installed in my 911 turbo.

GoPro Hero3+ black series. That has the best video going these days. While it does not have data it will help you with the line. The mic picks up motor noise so you can tell when you're getting back to throttle.

I run "Harry's lap timer pro and have been happy. My brother added an extra external GPS sensor and has better response time for satellite refresh. I use a goPro too, but the editing time just gets annoying.
