A Sneak Peek at the 2015 Porsche 911 GT3 RS

25 hp more, 22 lbs. lighter, wider TT body and a base price of approx. $177K USD. Considering the options will be another $25K-$30K in goodies your looking at a $200K-$210K GT3RS. Not very far from lightly optioned 488 territory. On the plus side it will do a 7:20 Ring time. Seems like alot of money over and above the GT3. Worth it if you rarely track your car ?

You could option a new 458 Italia with $100K+++ in options but you don't have to. My 13 458 Italia (I bought her new) had a $233K base and approx. $31K in options. I was out the door for $264K. I wonder what the base MSRP will be on the 488. In any event, my only point is that the disparity b/w the GT3RS and the 488 GTB might be less than we think.

Think I'll get a gt3 use the saving to get a personal trainer and lose the extra lbs around my belly !!! I really don't think the extra 25bhp will be fealt that much unless you are a real pro driver on track ..just my thoughts

GT3RS specs and new engine info are out there, it is the ultimate NA 911 ever made. This car look beautiful and mean at the same time. It make the 997.1GT3 look dated (still good looking to me but I rather have the GT4 now). I can't wait to see Chris Harris get his hands on these cars and his reviews.

I think the price gap will be more than you think. Lightly optioned 458s on release year we're selling for high 200s all day even low mid 300s I highly doubt the 488 will be any different. I think 300k is a pretty good ballpark like Fcar said.

I'm not sure what Porsche was thinking, shot of the GT4 and the driver manual shifting the PDK? Either sloppy marketing or intended subliminal marketing? One thing for sure that was a pretty week launch video for an amazing car. I think it finally has a little more aggression to it's look. The fender inlets make the car IMHO.
