I drove it down the mountain on dry roads yesterday and over to my son's football game: what a blast. handling is awesome, grip unbelieveable, and when you acually use the pedal to the floor it is sickeningly fast. like a GT2, even hammering up the mountain, you really cant use all this car has for more than a few seconds.

drilling it on the freeway is highly amusing that whoosh push in the back that's even more immediate than GT2....

my 12 year old loves it, says it's the coolest car we ever had, much better looking than 430, and i must agree. when you see the thing it hangs together in unity rather than looking pieced together like the 430. the overall quality is excellent and the performance is the best you can buy up to what, 330 for a CGT with massive repair cost potential.

it makes me chuckle with glee, and recall what Mama used to say:

"son, ain't nothin' like horsepower just runnin' out the exhaus pipes"

Yep, I agree my friend. As I recall, chasing you in my Ruf car was a relaxed, fun experience.
Maybe we can substitute my Z06 for the Ruf machine and cruise again? How's the heat in the canyons?

cheers

R

P.S.

I agree with Watt, the Z06 is a good value. It Roxxxxxxxxxx, sure nuf do.

How is the steering/clutch weight? That was my only beef with the C6 coupe I drove - overly light steering and clutch action when compared to my C5.

The shifter however is a big improvement.

the steering is fine, just different than F or P. at first it feels like it wont turn in, but then you get it and it really turns in. the balance is superb

clutch is light. shifter short and solid, certainly much better than tyson's factory short shift in my recent GT2 lease.

How does the C6 Z compare to a stock GT2 in regards to straight line performance?

0-60 is irrelevant. 0-60 is all about traction.

0-150 or even 100 is a better indication of a cars performance.

C6 Z has clocked a 0-100 in 7.5 secs and a 0-150 in 17.5 secs
