Next GT3 to have manual option?
Rumors starting after a Car Magazine interview with Preuninger.

“There’s no wrong, no right. Just differences in mission criteria… We put a manual in the Cayman GT4 for good reason, to show the people we listened. For people to blip the throttle, it’s satisfying. Why not give the people something to play with if they’re longing for that?”
Interesting statement. I'm not sure I agree with the article that it means they'll offer a manual in the next GT3, could just be repeating what he said about the GT4 numerous times now. But certainly leaves room for speculation.
Going the weight reduction route sounds promising. These cars became so tricked out. More gimmicks at same weight means less gimmicks and less weight should be possible.

I love the approach that Preuninger describes in relation to the reduction of weight as opposed to just adding more power.
Regarding the manual option, I dont know how much is speculation versus reality, but I am happy that it is something that the Porsche bosses are talking about and consideration as a result of customer demand and feedback.
