Z could be nice but the choice is clear

My understanding is street GT3 to Manthey GT3 is the same as M3 to M3 GTR i.e. a street chassis with upgraded componets ... I think the sequential gearbox is the main difference. Another words a 500hp GT3 cup car. FYI I was in the process of building a GTR but decided I wasn't ready for one. Of course the Vette guys will have no problem with the 400hp GTR ... they are already at 500hp

The GTR costs as much as a CGT, has a V8 engine, weighs 1000 fewer pounds and is, well, a totally different car. Those two cars have an even bigger delta than the Manthey GT3-MR and the street GT3. Oh **** . . .

To solve the split between those who think no issue to the sky-is-falling crowd, I would like to see temperature data for a hot-lapped car repeated many times. Big differences side-to-side would say it's a big deal. But I'm sure GM has done this and didn't see big deltas. I could be way wrong. But GM looks dumb nonetheless.

From reading over on Corvetteforums, seems non of the serious guys are worried about it. But we'll see non-the-less.
IllM3, what other "impurities" have you found, you state there are many With that said, it's also in it's first year of production, problems are bound to happen. But I haven't heard of anything somewhat serious (although we'll see how this brake thing works out) as of yet.

Hamann7 is correct.
The wheels pictured on my GT2 are BBS Motorsport racing wheels with forged aluminum centers in 18" x 8.5" and 12".
The Z06 is a wonderful car and I applaud GM for making it, especially in the high liability times we live in. If I had more garage space, I would buy one! I think the GT2 is rare, wild and requires your full attention. The Z06 is not rare and most cannot tell it from the standard C6. To me, the GT3 is underpowered and I personally would rather have the Z06 or GT2 just for the power.
Just my 2 cents.

true, they look stupid. BUt if it's not a problem, do they really look dumb? Had they just badged half the brakes left and half right, would anyone have ever even noticed? Had they done that, would we be sitting here having this conversation? Nope. It doesn't at all take away from the car though, and what GM has created
That said, do you now mean there are no other complications you have heard of?
