There is no ABS system out there that is as good as a good racing driver who can threshold brake at the limit electronics are quick but not quiet quick enough when a slight modulation of the brake pressure is all that is needed to stop a wheel from locking up.
Also IIRC there were a couple of incidents in the aust 996 cup cars which related to the ABS kicking in when a wheel become unloaded and basically gave the driver a solid pedal but no braking force applied to the wheel (hence missing the corner and hitting a wall) It was a very rare problem but a few drivers spoke about it happening but not always a crash
