Mike Levitas passes 16 Cars in Two Laps with DSC Sport/Tractive DDA!
At a recent PCA Club race at Summit Point Motorsports Park, Mike Levitas pulled his car off the grid and into pit lane at the start of a race for some technical concerns. After sorting them out he caught up to the back of the field just before the green flag dropped. Starting in last position, he managed to pass 16 cars in his first two laps. Eventually he worked his way through the field up to P3 where he battled it out with a Pirelli World Challenge spec cup car.
Boasting more horsepower and wider wheels, the PWC car certainly got the better of Mike in his spec IMSA GT3 Cup Car with old Yokohamas on the straights. However, Mike's DSC Sport/Tractive DDA suspension provided him a competitive advantage in the corners, allowing him to stay right on the PWC car.
You can check out the first two laps in the video below OR check out the whole race and the battle unfold between Levitas and the PWC cup car in the second video.

That was an epic drive and it was such an awesome race to watch live as it was happening. Just before the grid set-up I saw Mike go out, so I went and situated myself at one of the turns and fully expecting him to start around 3rd position.
When the warm up lap started, I saw him being dead last and thought it was over, but then the race started and it was just mesmerizing watching him place the car exactly where he wanted and it was fascinating watching the suspension movements on his car vs. the rest of the field.
Kudos to Mike and the entire TPC Racing team. BTW, given that this car was a participant in the IMSA GT3 Cup races, it runs narrow tires, I believe 245 fronts and 285 rears! Now that is amazing.
