I think he means a steering wheel...changing the stock rim on a CGT would be nuts...

I think I would move the display thing to the center of the steering wheel. Since you're getting rid of the airbag, it wouldn't be blocking anything, and I think it looks silly clamped to the top of the wheel like that.

Eh, to each his own. I'm not saying some cheap wheels. But if someone makes wheels to stock quality w/ what the owner percieves as better looks, nothing wrong w/ that IMO

Anyone know if the mesh wheels they used in the Leno testing are available to the public?

Fayence, I do think using that wheel instead of the stock CGT wheel would move the look of the interior more towards pure sport/racing, instead of sport/luxury. That's the kind of steering wheel you expect to find in a stripped out racecar.

yeah, good point. I think i may just install the display over the center cluster during track days, then keep it in the glove otherwise.

Motec makes a display you could use

or this

Looks are over rated, just get that wheel wrapped and painted to match. Function always comes out on top!!! Or, just use that wheel when you are tracking it.

All Porsche stock wheels are ugly and CGT is no exception. Talk to mike at HRE 760-598-1960 miked@hrewheels.com

They are right here in town, and they will do a custom wheel for you. I would coordinate this with Hoen to make sure they use the proper lift on the car.

I wouldn't race a CGT, because i have seen the consequence .. but if that was your wish ... have HRE fit to your choice of tire. They did the same for me running 315s on stock GT3.

I can't think of a single car that has never crashed.

Yes, but if you want to go CGT fast you want to crash in this. Already impact tested 10,000 times, setup with proper harness, Hans device, roll-cage, fire protection. BTW it comes with a proper wing and slicks and is cheap to repair if you do minor damage. Just my 2 cents.
