call & ask Chris Huck for it if u're seriously considering it. super cool and true car guy. my price was 417k back then guess the 399k is really good for a brand new one with no miles now.

I prefer Ascot over Black, but not by enough to matter....

Arling, did you pass on it because it didn't have the Ascot ? The one on the listing shows a black interior. Is it the same car ?

Agree with the 399 being a good buy. I know dealers who won't sell cars they've had sitting for that. Supply is gradually thinning out. FWIW -- at 2k and counting the car is just outstanding. I can see what it always beats its peers -- Zonda, SLR, Enzo in those vaulted head to head tests. As if any of these cars is actually a disappontment.

nberry is right -- I stand corrected. I think we are seeing the last wave on new CGTS now. So a couple more months of great buys with maybe even a lower bottom.
However, I do think that once we get a few years out this car will recover and hold value. Now that I've got over 2k on it, I just don't think you are going to get this kind of package from Porsche for a long long time. I do think this will be their f40

I believe long term value will improve after the 06 drop. There will not be another P-car like this one. Worth every lost penny. And FWIW -- so much easier to drive everyday then people think. Of Porsche came out with a nose lift you could retrofit I bet car would gain in value that day. As it is -- I rarely have trouble with mine on the street.

BTW. what the CGT REALLY lacked was a sequential transmission. Had Porsche been patient and not profit greedy, they would have equipped the car with their version of F1 and the value would not have tanked as it did.

You really think so? My belief is the stick is easy to drive, but the first batch wasn't so it got stuck with that "hard to drive" label. Honestly, the clutch is a non-issue. I wish I had had the chance to drive one of the first ones. It must have been very different. I would hate an F1 in this car -- though I love it in the 430.
